Grossi Florentino, The Grill and The Cellar Bar are all located at 80 Bourke St, Melbourne.

Last night we went to Grossi’s for dinner. Grossi Florentino is one of the best and expensive restaurants in Melbourne. We didn’t go there….we went next door to their Cellar Bar. If your looking for delicious, simple food that you don’t have to/can’t cook yourself, accompanied by nice wine then this is the place for you…The two of us dined and for $64.50 we had two mains, two desserts, two coffees a glass of wine and a juice…and as people who eat out a fair bit and have apprecitated good food our entire lives (both of our Mothers cook fantastically from a wide range of cuisines and one is a chef) we were very impressed.

The perfect place to go on a Friday or Thursday night when you can’t be bothered cooking or just want to experience something great without the hefty price tag.

Tip: Make sure you know which one you are going to, you don’t want to end up paying for a meal at Florentino when you think you are in the Cellar Bar.

We found this little gem in our new best friend The Age Cheap Eats Guide…and we hope to bring you a review from one of its recommendations once a week. To get into the Guide a meal at a restaurant has to cost less than $30…great for the traveler or someone who eats out frequently!
